I started home instillations a long time ago. The cost of the catheter and syringe were insane. I found out that if I get a Rx for the catheter and syringe I can take it to an approved durable supplies provider and it is covered by my insurance. My insurance pays 90% of durable supplies.
I pay $0.10 for a syringes and $0.40 a catherer. My MD writes the Rx for 90 day supply and 3 refills. That covers a year at 1 instill a day. My insurance will not cover the syringes but my durable supplier will sell them to me at cost...$15 for 100.
