There are some people who have improved using natural remedies. I'm always unsure of any substance that hasn't been tested and had studies published in peer-reviewed journals on it...it's not that these herbal remedies aren't good or that they don't help people...after all, aspirin came from an herbal remedy...but it's so hard to know for sure what something does, or that it doesn't have any harmful side effects, without some studies.
I worry that some herbal remedies might have bad side effect. For instance, I read recently about Kava Kava causing liver failure in one person who took it. Just because something is natural, doesn't mean it's safer than regular medicine or more effective. I find that's a common misconception.
Remember, arsenic is natural. Anthrax is natural. Heavy metals like mercury are natural. Radiation is natural. Natural does not always = good for your health.
On the other hand, we all have to make our own decisions regarding our healthcare. We are all alone that way.
Blessings,
Lori
