Does anyone seem to have a low tolerance to things in general or a short fuse as I like to call it before a flare kicks in? How about once it is underway? I have no patience for anything these days and I can't help but think that it is due to the fact that I am in more pain these days than I have been in months. The pain changes so much I can't figure out what is IC, what is stress, and what may be the gastro problems.

Oh, yes, when I am in pain I can be a big GROUCH!! I completely understand how irritating some things seem during a flare -- even noise that normally doesn't bother me (like the TV up a little louder than usual) will tick me off during a flare... not sure why, but I think that's just our animal nature. Dogs and cats in pain tend to snap at people, and I think we human beings do too when we're in pain! :grouphug:

When I'm in pain and just don't feel good, everything bothers me, I know the TV in the family room is too loud for me (meanwhile I'm in the bedroom with the door mostly shut) tell them to turn it down and either they do or not, so I'll go in and turn it down and when i return to the room its STILL too loud!! But I can't say anything--
