Allright..I've been making lots of research and seems like my problems are more related to PFD which came with chronic UTI. I also suffer from constipation at the moment.I believe allt hose are muscle related at the moment..I have no pain,no great urgency ..Just some frequency and feeling of incomplete voiding.I feel umcomfortable sitting as well, like i feel i still have to urinate but that feeling gets less or gone when i stand up.Also i am having hard time passing stools. I heard warm sit baths help.Any other advice ? A doctor had recommended antidepressants to help relax the muscles. Should i wait some more time with warm baths or start with some medical stuff? Is PFD curable ? and how much does it take for it to go? Is there a risk of developing IC if i don't take care of PFD?

You might want to talk with your doctor about a referral to a physical therapist who is skilled in PFD treatment.

Hi Flo-
I agree with Donna about a referral to a pelvic floor therapist if that is one of your conditions.
I suffer from SEVERE pelvic floor dysfunction. It is treatable but I am not sure about a "cure" as it occurs from results of other things going on in your body. I have had pfd for multi years but mine did not become severe until my IC did.
I did go through therapy and found it helpful in the fact that a therapist will teach you to learn to feel your muscles so you can learn to relax them. However, there are times that your pelvic muscles spasm and tighten involuntarily which is my case. Stress is a big factor for this. Psychologists can help here too, I have seen one for this as dealing with chronic illness in general is so life changing.
I wish you the best and please let me know if I can help you.

Flomax is one of the smooth muscle relaxants. It may help --- it's worth a try at the very least.
