:hi:Hi everyone,
Just to let you know that I had my new bladder put in 15 days ago and everything is going as well as can be expected at the moment.
I woke up 4 days post op in the intensive care unit, boy that was scary!! there were complications and the doctor said I nearly didn't make it.
But now I am home and doing ok.
Still a bit sore, who wouldn't be after such a huge op, pain killers are helping.
Having a little trouble getting comfortable and not sleeping to well, a little worried about laying on the wound and pulling out the two stents I still have in place.
I will have them taken out 2nd january 2007 then I will be the new woman we talked about.
All the best to everyone.
Talk again soon xxxx:cat:

So glad to hear you are home and doing ok....healing from a surgery like that, especially with complications takes time. Take it easy, and do what your body tells you to do...hope to see you around the board more real soon!

Take care, Sandy

So glad that you are finally home and are doing okay. That must have been really scary waking up in ICU and hearing how you almost died! I cannot imagine how scary that must have been for you! I am so glad that you pulled through after all and that you are okay now!! You must be a very strong person!

I hope that this surgery does the trick for you and you will be up and around soon and able to enjoy life again. Hugs, Amy

:hi: THANKYOU EVERYONE FOR YOUR KINDS THOUGHTS.
I AM STILL SORE A A LITTLE SWOLLEN FROM THE SURGERY BUT SLOWLEY RECOVERING.
I AM TRYING TO DRINK AS MUCH AS I CAN INCLUDING CRANBERRY JUICE.
I AM ON ANTEBIOTICS AGAIN AS I HAVE A INFECTION IN MY MITROFANOFF,
I HAVE A NURSE COME IN EVERY OTHER DAY AND SHE SAID TODAY IT IS LOOKING A LITTLE BETTER TODAY, ALTHOUGH IT'S VERY RED AND SORE.SHE CLEANS THE WOUNDS AND REDRESSES THEM.
WILL BE GLAD WHEN THESE TUBES ARE OUT THOUGH THEY ARE A PAIN IN THE BUTT!!
THE SUPERPUBIC TUBE KEEPS TUGGING AT MY BELLY AND FEELS LIKE IT WANTS TO COME OUT, I HOPE NOT.
APART FROM THE PAIN I STILL HAVE AND THE SWELLING ETC I AM DOING BETTER.
STILL CANNOT BEND OR LIFT, WHICH IS NORMAL FOR THIS AMOUNT OF SURGERY.
I SHALL CHECK THE SITE OUT AGAIN SOON, GOING FOR A REST NOW.
HAD OVER 145 EMAILS TO GET THROUGH.LOL:lmao:
TAKE CARE EVERYONE XXX
