I am now eating whatever I want, without bad side effects.
I am down to about one and a half pills per day.
No frequency.
No burning.
No pain.
I hope it's being tried by others because it sure has saved me!
I wish it could help everyone.

It needs to be shouted to the world...

Hello,

I am going to try to convince my uro to start me on this, but it will be difficult. She is very conservative.

A question I have is, did you have urethral burning, and if so, is that now gone?

Thanks!

Yes, I had a lot of burning. All gone now. Good luck.

I had no danger of pregnancy, so my Dr prescribed it quickly. And it helped my acid reflux.

Butternut, that is so great! I am so happy for you! I hope that others who might try this, will also have good results!

Blessings,

Hi Butternut,
I'm so glad the cytotec is working for you. Do you mind posting (or putting in your signature) how long you took it before you felt better. A lot of people might want to know. Thank you. You and IClori are helping many by sharing your successes. Happy Holidays to you. PV

Congrats Butternut that is awesome. I too am going to see if my md will prescribe this. As Purpleviolet said I too would like to know how long it took for you to feel better on this etc... Sometimes when we don't get immediate relief from something and we give it up prematurely. Thanks for posting.

Cytotec began working right away! The very day that I began to take the pills, I felt better. The next day was even better.

What helped me:
Cytotec
Water
Calcium
Vitamin E
Water
No acid foods, no carbonated drinks, no coffee (until after awhile)
Water
More water....

I am now eating acid foods and occasional coffee. All in moderation. Catsup is not bothering me.

I just have to mention that I was so fortunate to be able to speak with Norman Smith recently, who years ago posted on ICN about curing his wife with Cytotec. She is still well, after five years!!! I cannot express my gratitude adequately except to say a big thank you to Mr and Mrs Norman Smith for speaking with me and posting and telling the world, as possible, that there is a way to return to feeling free and good again.
I am still afraid to allow myself to think that I am without this terrible disease. I am holding myself in check, trying to keep from going overboard with all the things that taste so good. I have to try to maintain the routine that helped me get well.
Honoring Norman Smith for figuring it out.

When I first began Cytotec, I was taking three tablets spread out over the day (200 mcg each). After about eight months, I began taking two tabs per day and now I take one tablet at bedtime and a half tab during the day sometime.
When you first start taking Cytotec you may notice bloating and even a little stomach discomfort. It was well worth it to get rid of the bladder pain!!! I gave it plenty of time. BUT, I was feeling good even the next day after first taking the pills. The bladder pain/burning improved quickly, for me. I wish everyone this miracle. It may take longer for others. Please don't give up!
This medicine is not mean't for women of child-bearing age unless there is no chance of pregnancy.
I never need any pain meds for my bladder now. I rarely have to take something for a headache. I still drink water all the time, always with me and I put a lemon slice in all of my drinking water. At first I was afraid that the lemon would hurt me. It did not. It is so refreshing to drink nice cool lemon water.
I pray for everyone's recovery and future cure. I am so appreciative.

I take Citracal one tablet daily.

This is the month that I began taking Cytotec, last year! Wow, it flew by. I went back to gardening, mowing and walking. This spring I will get my bike out again.
I am still taking 200 mcg at night and 100 mcg during the day. I have no burning and no bladder pain. I eat what I want. I drink lots of water and an occasional pop or coffee.
I will continue with this another year and then see what happens as I gradually wean off the Cytotec. After all, our original Cytotec user is still free from bladder problems five years after stopping Cytotec, after taking it for two years.
I hope many are finding success and relief by trying Cytotec.
Forever grateful, hopeful and happy.
Sharon

I am so happy that you are having so much success Butternut. I am on 100mcg twice daily. That is all that my doctor will prescribe for now. I am not having the immediate relief that you are having unfortunately, but I am seeing some differences lately. I keep hoping I turn a corner. I will keep you posted. I wish you continued success.
