OK I'm about ready to take the plunge. I honestly can't remember the last time my husband and I had sex, probably 5 years. He's been great, no pressure, no innuendo. Just kindness and support while I battle a horrible case of IC and am recovering from a car accident I had on my birthday almost 6 months ago.:birthday: We've been married 16 years, no children.
Because I've been titrated up to 720 mg of morphine a day I think I can finally handle sex (while using many of Jen's tips) I've been masturbating for a while now to see if sex is possible (Don't want to get hubby's hopes up only to dash them) Yes, sometimes orgasms are painful, yet wonderful. Go figure:rolleyes:
Here is my problem/question. I think because of the morphine inhibiting me, my nerves, muscles, sometimes it can take a REAL long time to orgasm, if at all. I also take Lyrica, I don't know what effect it could have. The other day it took me 5 hours (this includes bathroom trips) I don't expect my husband to stimulate me for 3, 4, 5 hours! Has anyone else experienced similar problems? Any suggestions. And yes I'm using a vibrator, dildo, lube and mild porn DVDs while masturbating.
I'm planning on talking to him tonight or tomorrow and suggesting Friday or Saturday early in the morning. My frequency is much less then and my pain usually starts flaring around midday so I thought early would be better. He's a teacher (as was I, I miss it so much) so he has Thur-Sun off.
I'm excited and nervous. I love him so much and miss that part of our marriage. He left it up to me so I could decide when I was ready. To be blunt lately I've been so horny I think I'll explode. Watching TV has been driving me crazy. Everyone but me is doing it!
Has anyone else experienced something like this?
Suggestions would be appreciated, commiserations too. If not please be rooting for me.
And no going off or reducing the morphine is not an option. I'm still in pain at this level. I was offered more but feel I can function at this level and mostly tolerate the pain. I have transmucosal fentynal for when it gets really bad.
Thanks,
Pamela Joy
