Hey all, I haven't written in awhile, but you see my past posts have been pretty depressing cuz ive been pretty depressed lately. Good news is I am going to break up with my boyfriend soon. I've gotten enough strength and courage and self respect to do so, and I think it will uplift me sooooo much. My bladder has been better lately, it's giving me some time off so i am pretty happy considering school has been taking all of my energy lately. This tuesday I am going home from college for thanksgiving and on wednesday I am getting tested for endometriosis so I'm pretty nervous....guess that will be my birthday present. I kind of hope I have endo cuz then they can make that pain so away!! Any one have any not so depressing stories about the procedure? I'm kind of nervous, i hate the anestesia (sp?) part. does it hurt after, when you wake up? i just had a colonoscopy last week, and that was no fun, I was hysterical because I was scared and no one that is 21 gets that done!!! but it turned out to not be THAT bad, i hope this one will turn out like that! and good news about this one I don't have to drink that gross fleets stuff the day before! yuck!!!

I had a laproscopy to diagnose endo in February 2002. It really wasnt that bad for me. I think the part that obthered me the most was the pain in my shoulders from the gas they use to distend your belly. But that went away fairly quickly. On a happy note having the endo gone really helped my pain level. I hope that it helps you out.

Hey everyone, I went through that procedure today and am in a whole lot of pain. They discovered I did have endo on my bladder and somewhere else (my parents can't remember, and when the doc was telling us i was waking up from the anestsia so i don't remember). She also said that she could tell I was very constipated, which is so funny because I didn't even mention that to her. She thinks I have IBS. I have a few questions I hope you guys can help. I have severe shoulder pain. is that normal? my shoulder kills, and i know the procedure has nothing to do with your shoulders. Also, can endometriosis grow back? How often does it grow back if it does? Overall though the procedure wasn't that bad, and I am so happy I did it.

The shoulder pain is from gas. Its normal to have referred pain from your belly to your shoulder when you're blown up with air for a surgical procedure. Endo can grow back, but hopefully this will give you some relief from the pain. As for your shoulder, you should start 'passing' the gas soon and get some relief from that as well. When you get a chance you should call your doctor and hear the results for yourself and talk to him/her about the chances of the endo coming back, etc.

OMG! you guys!!!!!!!!! So I had the laproscopy, and ever since then IT DOESN"T HURT TO PEE!!!!!!! I am so happy right now. I didn't want to say anything but I have been pain free for like 5 days (which is a lot for me). Because the endo was found on my bladder, maybe it healed me? When they went into my bladder a long time ago he dx'ed me with IC cuz i had a little of those globul.... (sp?) on the bladder walls so he suggested that I may have IC (this was all when i was 12 yrs old). Do you think I am healed and maybe since I didn't have too many of those g (can't spell that word) cells, that maybeI on't have IC??? I'm just shocked right now, and hopeing that my daily pain won't come back. Just wanted to let you guys know....GET A LAPROSCOPY!!!!!!!!!!!!! it can help=)
