Hi, my name is Stacey and I'm a free-lance journalist (and ICer) working with the IC Network on its publication, The IC Optimist.

Right now I'm working on an article for the next issue about IC in children. I'm looking for parents and children who would be willing to answer a few questions about their experiences with IC. The questions would cover how long it took to get a diagnosis, what doctors have said to you about children and IC, what life is like right now, how you handle pain management, etc. You can chose to use your full name, first name only or be anonymous in the article.

For those under 18, I'd prefer to have a parent OK the interview.

We can do the interview through PM, e-mail or over the phone - whatever is easiest. I have a sort of tight deadline for this and need to have all interviews completed by Nov. 16.

Please feel free to respond, PM or e-mail me with any questions or concerns. You can e-mail me at sashannon1@hotmail.com.

Thanks so much for your help and time!

Hi, Stacey :hi:

I'm 17 right now, but I got IC when I was 15. I'm not sure if I'm really in the age group that you're interested in, but I would love to help you with your article. I'll send you a PM, okay?

Hi, Kalie.

I would love to have you answer some questions if you're interested. The point of the article is to be a helpful resource for other youth and their parents in dealing with IC. A voice of experience is always the most helpful.

I can PM the questions to you or e-mail them - whatever is easiest. Just let me know. I appreciate your willingness to help!

And, green_the_fish, I responded to your PM with the questions and stuff. Let me know if you didn't get it or it didn't make sense.

And for anyone who answers questions, please feel free to elaborate as much as you'd like. It's always better for me to have too much information than not enough!

Thanks so much for all your help!
