I know they sell the Ezekial cereal here on the ICN, but does anyone know if it is okay to eat the Ezekial bread(s). I've been flaring really bad lately and wonder if this isn't part of the problem.

I have no problems with Ezekiel bread, but everyone is different. Try cutting it our for 2-3 weeks then adding it back in to see if it is Ok for you or not. I hope it is Ok for you, I really enjoy it and am happy to have nice bread to eat in the boring diet!

I eat the ezekial tortillas...no yeast...you get used to them..
I put almond butter and broccoli sprouts and lettuce on them and they are not bad at all! I alos like the ezkeil muffins..yummy..they have yeast and I am trying an anti yeast program (am I flare more!!?!?!)
try the tortillas :-)

Well I will try it again and see what happens. They switched my antibiotic today so we'll see if thats what was making me worse and not the bread. I too would like to stop the heavy carbs, and yeast. I think it would help all the way around. It's so hard to break old habits though. My Mom had a sweet tooth and when we were young she'd take us to Dairy Queen with her to get her sugar fix so that habit was imbedded early on into my brain.lolololol

Is any flavor of Ezekiel bread likely to be ok with IC? My daughter found some but there were many different flavors.

I tried this bread many years ago but I could not eat it because of the gas it caused in my intestines.

Are you able to eat other breads from grocery stores? I bought some plain white bread since it was on the list and also some Nature's Own that says no artificial colors, preservatives, etc but have been afraid to try them. I was eating the Nature's Own before I looked at the ingredients and since I am new at this I thought there was something on there I shouldn't have but I don't think it upset me.
I am so new at this I am afraid to branch out much and have a flare.

I don't eat white bread. Not because it bothers me, but because I haven't eaten white bread for many years. I do not know if it would bother me IC wise or not. I can eat whole wheat bread. I can also eat French Bread. What seems to bother me is the sweet tasting Italian Bread. I think it is the Ascorbic Acid in it. The Dictionary says it is the same as Vitamin C. I read labels and try to stay away from bread that has Ascorbic Acid as an ingredient.

Wow I started this post a long time ago!! I still eat Ezekial bread, and I do not think that it is a flare causing food for me because some days I'm really well and other days I'm not, and it doesn't coincide with the bread. I have eaten the low sodium, and the original, and I just bought the sesame. My suggestion is to try it and see what happens. That's really all we can do to find out because we are all so different in that department. Trial and error, but what a price to pay!!! Or when in doubt leave it out!!!

I was advised by my nutrionist to eat ezekiel bread because is a a spouted wheat as far healthier carb than other breads...provided vegtable protien as well. I ahve enjoyed the -49..and the english mifinare delicious ..with almond butter! Thne I went to a another nutritionsist who told me to avoid yeasted foods..so I went to the esekiel toritllas..which at first tasted like cardbaord..but with almond butter, cucumbers, spoouts, lettuce..or a hambugrger are pretty darn good. Now when I go back to the yeasted kind I flare for some stupid reason!
I am hungry!!!
