often just quietly ache?
I have been doing better lately but often, when I don't have any big symptoms I've noticed that my bladder area just has an constant aching quality.

Regarding "going" - all things considered - are you happy to urinate like every 2 hours or so? 3 hours? During the night - how many times do you get up to go?
Is 2 or 3 times ok with you?

I usually go before I go to sleep (midnight) then about 2 am, then 4:30 or so, then about 8:30 - that's a good night.

I was pretty close to remission other than still not tollerating most drinks or acidic meds until my recent flare. With my flare I had a ache pretty constantly unless I took my pain meds...and was/am going anywhere from every 2 hours to every 20 minutes and night was 4-1 hour....assuming I stayed asleep. Am I happy that way....no I preferred remission a lot more! I believe I got this flare from a very bad cold.

Hope you feel better soon!

Anything less than 3 trips a night is good news to me. When my tratments are "on que" I even sleep through the night.

Your symptoms sound very much like mine. Several nights ago (with the help of the right diet) I was able to only get up ONCE during the night. Ahhhh, it was like a miracle. It's usually about 3x/night; 6x/night is the worst for me. Daytime is 20 min - a couple hours, depending on how much water I'm drinking. My achiness is so much better over the last few days, I was daring enough to go to a buffet restaurant for dinner tonight. Will let you know tomorrow how things go.

Best wishes,
Darlene

During the day, it's every 20-30 mintues right up until I pop that little AMBIEN CR before bed!!! The ambien knocks me out and I usually can make it through the night with only 2 potty trips. The daytime frequency is driving me CRAZY!!!! Try taking a trip and having to pee every 20 minutes!!!

Yes, my Bladder has a constant ache feeling to it, just feels irritated or bruised can't really explain it.

I would be jumping for joy if I could go every 2 hours during the day.
I go every 1 to 30 minutes during the day and at least 6 - 10 times at night.
I also take a sleeping pill which has helped. I use to go allot more during the night.

I understand completely it's so hard to go anywhere or do anything.
On a very good day that I can actually go every 30 minutes that turns into 15 or 20 in a car. Most of the time it's just not worth going anywhere.
I get so sick of having that feeling of having to go and knowing a toilet is not near by. Or having to walk through a public place on the verge of peeing your pants and then doing it all over again 20 minutes later.

I go anywhere between 1hr and 3 hours to the bathroom. At night, I get up at least 4 times a night. Last night I actually slept all night long (went to bed at 10:30 and slept till 5:00- not quite all night, but almost so I was pretty happy with that).

After my morning cup of coffee I may go twice within one hour, then another cup and twice more within the hour. Trips, forget it, it seems like I go every other mile. Through the night, if I go to bed at nine, I am up by 12, then 2, then 4, then 6 and then 8, which is about the time I get up to get ready for work and then once more before I leave for work just so I dont get stuck in traffic and have to pull over before I get there. It really is bothersome sometimes because even after I have gone, it feels like I am still going or like I still have to go. When I do go, it takes all of 1 minute to finally get the stream going, and at the end during the "let down" it feels as if there is a string hanging on the end of my bladder that is being pulled down. I have never seen a uro before, not since my diagnosis. I was operated on by a uro that my doc had assist in the surgery because she said there was a possibility that I had IC, which was confirmed during my surgery. I finally have an appt. in Dec. The uro that operated on me said that he would see me in Nov, then they changed it to Dec, then they changed it to March!! I said I will be dead by then....Jeez!! So I found another doc and cannot wait to see him so I can finally shed some light on this disorder or disease or whatever it wishes to call itself.
