For the past two weeks, I've had an almost "weak" feeling right at the very top of my thighs, just under my hip bones. 4 days ago, it started hurting there, like I pulled the muscles. Has anyone else experienced this?

It might (I stress the "might") be something as simple as a deficiency in calcium, potassium, or magnesium, but you really should call your doctor's office and ask.

Before I was diagnosed with IC, I had a lot of pelvic pain issues. It used to be so bad that my thigh would go numb and my back would go numb and I wouldnt be able to walk. When I look back before my diagnosis, I was treated in emergency rooms all the time with pelvic pain and leg numbness, so yes, I definitely know how you feel.

SENSORIMOTOR POLYNEUROPATHY?
This is a type of nerve damage that I have been diagnosed with. My Drs. have explained it is widespread in my body. The damage may include the myelin sheath (covering of the nerve cell) and this might be damage to the nerve fiber (axon) or the worst is the nerve cell itself might be damaged.
In my situation, I learned that I had a disease that put pressures on some of the nerves and blocked the blood flow and oxygen that keep nerves healthy.
In my case this damage took years to take place. Knowing the cause is important for in some cases, the nerves can be restored to near normal feeling and function. I was lucky and I learned the cause and I do take medication for my disease. Slowly, I am getting some recovery of my nerves.
I have learned that there are hundreds of causes of peripheral neuropathy (nerve damage) and it is very common. The best example is with the disease of diabetes (I do not have this) the neuropathy damage that is most common in humans.
Some symptoms are pain, burning tingling and loss of feeling (numbness) This type of nerve pains is very painful and even more as nerve repair occurs in the body. Nerve pain is hard to relieve.
My Doctors do not know how well I well ever recover as it went such a long time untreated. I always tell my Doctors that I will recover someday. It really helps me to understand the cause my pains. I was a most severe case ever, as I have it from early childhood. I accept that I may always suffer with some nerve damage and have some weakness from having sensorimotor polyneuropathy. Other IC patients do not understand me when I explain that I have the very same pain in my bladder and in my hands and feet. It is always of the same intensity and is very systemic.
You might want to ask your Doctor to check you for this serious nerve disorder.

I experienced this as well....right where the leg meets the torso...it sounds very similar. It seems to be happening all over my body lately. I thought it was due to meds (Elmiron) but I went off it for 6 weeks and it didn't help. I have to assume its another odd symptom of IC but but can't help worrying its something worse. I feel best in the morning....it gets worst throughout the day. Its not so bad I can't function...just annoying. I exercise everyday but if I overdo it, it makes things worse. I see my uro tomorrow; hopefully light will be shed. I have a rferral for a rhuematologist for Jan too.
Just when I start to get kick something in the bud (my bladder was better) something else happens!

There were times I would get up or I will be walking around and move just the wrong way, it would feel like I have riped out of my bladder and everything around it.
Had test done and nothing was found: no hernia, no nothing, except later, it was found I have IC.
Sending hugs, Trishann
What type of dr did you go to for the nerve damage? Thanks,

I find that the mornings are okay for me if I am not exhausted from not sleeping too well or if I didnt have an attack some time during the night that causes me issues. But by the middle of the day I am bushed. I do not feel like doing anything more. My legs are tired, my body is aching and I find myself just falling asleep in the oddest of places as if I am nodding off. I just want to stay home all day so that when the sleepy sensation hits, I can just go with the flow. I am a paralegal that works part time, so I sit most of the day, besides getting up and down to make copies or fax something, go to the bathroom 50/11 times or take work into my boss. It is tiring getting up and down and sitting on my vag.. which is killing me. My back begins to ache and that is it, I am ready to go home. Once I am home I am faced with great challenges...MY FOUR KIDS!!!
