Had Cysto Today!!!!

Hi Everyone,

Well once again I'm confused, but happy. I went for a regular cystoscopy without hydro today, and the uro found urethral polyps. Now I know why my urethra has been burning off!!! She also said that maybe this was what was causing all of my symptoms and that maybe I do not have IC. I don't understand why they didn't do this regular cysto when I first went there. Anyhow I'm not complaining, and I'm greatful to have an answer. She is not sure of course that I still do not have IC only time will tell after I finish the antibiotics I was given to clear up the polyps. She said that these type of polyps are not the type to be removed, but are treated with antis. Does anyone know about this? I would appreciate some info. Thanks again for all of your support. What doesn't make sense is then why did the cystoprotek, and IC diet help my symptoms if all I had were urethral polyps and not IC.

That will be wonderful if this is the problem and it can be fix by antibotics. That will be great if you don't have IC. Sorry the answers to your questions I don't know but hoping this will all turn out to your favor.

I'm not completely certain, but I'm sure that acids can have the same effect on sores in your urethra that they can on an irritated bladder.

I'm glad you got some sort of an answer, but it seems you have some unanswered questions still. Don't write IC off. Do what your doc says-keep monitoring yourself.

Yah, I haven't ruled out IC because my bladder hurts when it fills, and I'm not sure polyps would give you these same symptoms, but as I said there is always hope that the antibiotics will kill whatever is trying to kill my bladder!!!
