I was wondering how many of you have back pain as one of your symptoms of IC? I have been having the worst back pain that is not new but it seems to be getting worse. I just wondered if that is the norm...to have back pain........
Thank you

I usually always have some sort of back pain. If I am lucky enough not to have it during the day it usually shows up at night which is when you will find me in my favorite chair with a heating pad. Usually it is my lower back but sometimes it is higher than that.

If it's low back pain, it's possibly referred pain from your bladder, but you really should have it checked out to be sure.

My lower back pain has sent me to the uro before sure that I had an infection along with other symptoms and I didn't have one. I do keep an eye on it and usually it stays at about the same level of pain. I was also in an accident last year that causes some of the discomfort also. Between that and the IC it gets interesting sometimes!

I have back pain too and I never had it before this mess with the IC started. Does a heating pad really help with IC? I have tried it before with my cramps (which is also a nightmare in itself) and it hasn't helped much.

I have low back pain all the time. I can't sit for more than 15 - 20 minutes at a time, and it hurts to bend. I usually have to sit on my hip.
