Hello everyone just a quick little note that if you suffer from getting yeast infections, you can take acidophilus (sp?) over the counter which gives your body the right organisms to fight that bacteria especially after antibiotics. I called my pharmacist who said it wont interact at all with elmiron, so not to worry about that.I just know that sometimes we are on so much antibiotics that our bodies are prone to the yeast infections. there is a new kind of acidophilus in hi health; more expensive but it is coated with a special coating that makes sure ALL the organisms get to your body before destroyed by digestion. Andif you get a hi health card you can buy one get one half off. Has anyone taken acidophilus with elmiron? have you seen any progress with reduction in yeast infections?

I have chronic yeast infection and my gyno specialist has me on Diflucan every other day, cymbalta twice a day, boric acid three times a week, anucort-hc 1/2 supp vaginally twice a day, and.....acidophillus. My problem has gotten much better. Not fully better because I still have burning with sex and get bad during an IC flare up, and before my menstral cycle. But, I do believe it has helped alot to control the yeast. My doctor said my ph is still off, but the yeast is almost gone.
