I had my hydro last Thursday. I am having problems with bleeding after going to the bathroom - this has gone on for almost a week. I went back to the doctors on Monday. They did an ultrasound and found bloodclots - they were able to funnel them out. Told me if I continue to bleed by the time I go back today, that they will probably put me in the hospital and surgically stop the bleeding. What makes matters worst is that I'm suppose to be on coumadin, of course, haven't been on it for almost 2 weeks, (1 week prior to procedure and of course this week- I am however taking something called Lovenox).
Never had this problem before, usually only bleed for maybe a half a day.
Will try to get back on later let you all know.

According to my Physicians' Desk Reference, Lovenox is also an anticoagulant so that may be why you are still doing some bleeding. Sometimes there is more risk being off anticoagulants than there is with bleeding. I hope it stops soon.

Hope they find out what is going on and you get better.

I went to the doctor yesterday. They bloodclots were gone. (good sign).
They also got the urine culture back, have a infection. They want me to stay on the antibotics for another day before doing anything.
As to the Lovenox, I have to be on it because of the heart valve. They are going to talk to my cardio. doctor to see if they can lower the dosage to once a day. (I'm on 2 a day right now).
I'm at work now, they told me I can continue to do so, as long as I don't do anything stupid ( like lifting, fast walking, filing, bending down, etc.; another words, just go to the bathroom, get the mail and sit at my desk and work at the computer). The PA had a feeling that if he told me to stay home, I would do more damage like clean the house or something! (told him no, that I have a couple of watch dogs (husband and son) but somehow he didn't believe me!
I'm suppose to call them back tomorrow morning when they open and let them know one way or the other. If I'm still bleeding then they are going to have to take me in and do exploratory surgery to see if they did anything.

I am glad the doctors are looking after you, hoping things will get back to normal and nothing else needs to done.
Take it easy,
Hugs, Trishann

I totally understand. My husband has had to take anticoagulants since his heart surgery six years ago. Our doctor tells us being off the anticoagulants is more dangerous for him than possible bleeding from a procedure.

The bleeding has finally stopped. I called the doctors on Friday morning and gave them an update, told them it was "reddish-brown" the doctor said it was with "old blood" so they didn't have to do anything. (if it didn't stop they were going to put me in the hospital and surgically stop the bleeding), they told me to stay in bed and drink plenty of fluids - which I have been, on Saturday, when I got up and went to the bathroom it was pretty much cleared, now the only problem I have is that I can't go without straining. I know that is not good either.
