My husband, who is a great guy is an idiot cook and me getting him to help me and let me rest is almost more painful then cooking the darn meal myself.

I just needed to vent this- as he is killing me right now and I almost 3 seconds away from hitting him over the head with a pan (LOL)

:lmao: I can totally relate! My fiance makes the BIGGEST messes, then says "what?" when I give him the evil eye, because we ALL know who's going to clean up that stuff. He loves pepper...eggs with pepper, corn with pepper, soup with pepper....by the time I eat a few bites my eyes are watering and I can feel my bladder yelling at him. It doesnt matter how many times I ask, nicely too I might add, that if he's going to cook, he needs to give me a TRUE night off by doing the dishes, AND leaving out the pepper...I know where the pepper shakers are!

Husband Terry does not cook! We have an agreement --- he doesn't cook and I don't fool with his power tools (unless he's there to supervise). I'm very certain he could scorch water and just as certain I could easily clip off a finger! When I know I'm going to be unable to cook, I make sure there are microwave meals in the freezer --- he's pretty good at those. :) And cold cereal --- he does very well with that.

We frequently eat in front of the TV so we can watch the news. And he does take our dishes to the kitchen and load the dishwasher.

:)

Well, I don't cook (much). My hubby eats a big lunch because he knows that I won't cook and he gets heartburn (maybe from my food) so he doesn't like to eat in the evening anyway! Perfect scenario!!! Since my sons are both at college now, it doesn't seem necessary. Armslee, send me your address, and I will send you "almost new" pans. The women in my Sunday School class wanted to have a recipe swap a couple months ago. They all brought their books, index cards, etc. They were all teasing me since I had a couple that I cut out (of course hadn't tried). They couldn't believe that I can get away with it. I am a good cook. I make great fried chicken, mashed potatoes, etc. I was laughing and said haven't ya'll noticed when we have signups for get togethers I always bring the chips and dip, or the paper plates and slice and bake cookies?
