Opps I shoulda posted my last post in this forum for IBS. Has anyone taken Pamine Forte (5mg) also called methscopolamine bromide for their IBS? Does it irritate the IC bladder?
Thanks, Kim

I only just started the 5mg, but I've had plenty of the 2.5 mg and it actually stopped some bladder cramps I was having one day. I looked it up one the internet and it is listed as a urinary anti-spasmodic. I hope I have as much success with the Pamine Forte 5 mg as I do with Colestid 1 gm.

I just ran across this post after posting this morning about my horrible experience with Pamine Forte! It gave me terrible urinary retention and pain. I woke early this morning with pounding pelvic pain and unable to urinate. It was a scary experience! I spent the entire day on the couch resting wtih a hot water bottle on my lower belly and drinking water to flush out my bladder! It also constipated me...... and after I ate my baked chicken and baked yam I had the worst cramps! I am still sore and in pain and unable to go. I think it was wayyyyyyyyy too stong for me. I looked it up on line and one of the side effects was urinary retention....also constipation. Let's not even talk about how dry I got! I could NOT open my eyes. They were glued shut actually hurt! I coldn't swallow and food without water because my throat was so dry! I had a cookie that got stuck and couldn't go down! I noticed they also have a regular pamine....2.5 mg. I wish the dr would have started me on a lower dose. I might have not reacted so violently! I'll never take Pamine Forte again.
