:welcome: to the board. A lot of people here drink low acid coffee that is sold in the ICN shop. Also, Folgers has come out with a low acid coffee that is sold in the grocery store. I've not tried any of them, but a lot of IC'ers swear by it. Your doctor was probably talking about a cystoscope/hydrodistention, but you should make sure that you understand what he's planning on doing. A cysto/hydro will confirm a case of IC if you haven't had it done already.

Never hesitate to ask a question, scour these boards for diet tips and pain tips, and you can check out the link at the top of this page for the ICN homepage that will link you up with the patient handbook, IC diet and recipes, lectures by doctors, etc that are very well versed in IC, etc.

You've come to the best board on the internet for IC. Everyone here is helpful and compassionate, and VERY friendly. I've met some great friends here!

Good for you that you quit smoking 10 years ago. Thats my one and only vice at the moment (can't drink because it kills my bladder!)....how did you do it? The only way I've ever been able to quit was by getting pregnant, then breastfeeding. It only took one cup of coffee or one beer for me to want to start smoking again, after 18 months or longer without one!! :bonk: :bonk: :bonk:

Take care, Sandy

Welcome to the boards.
This is a great place to find help. If you lurk for awhile you can learn a lot, but it helps to ask your questions, too.
