spotting brown blood

It's me again with another problem. Thought I was going to get my regular and all i get is a very small smear of old brown blood for about three days, almost four now.the blood doesn't want to come down and I am scared. What could this be and is it common with IC.? I had my period twice last month and nothing but spotting this month. I asked my gyno but they didn't really say anything about it. It feels like cramping and stuff a little but nothing. What should I do. any suggestions would help

Yes, call your doctor and explain everything and tell him you're concerned and hopefully he can ease your fears. How old are you? It couldn't be related to menopause or perimenopause could it?

I just turned 34 on october 3rd of this year. I don't know what it could be.
I guess I will call on monday since office is closed today.

VERY INTERESTING! I have severe IC and the same thing happens to me when I get my period. This started about 5 months ago, a little after the time the IC came on, and it's still happening. I've told a few doctors about it and they were baffled. I thought I was the only person having this problem. Does the dry blood feel very warm, almost like it burns? When did it start for you?

Well probably not menopause then. Just a thought. I don't have periods anymore so can't help much here. I had a hysterectomy years ago thinking it would help my bladder. It didn't.

I've had brown blood before inbetween my periods though. I think it was remnants from my period or something because it was old blood. Are you on birthcontrol? I think it happened to me when I missed a pill. Sorry I can't be more help. You should probably call your doctor ;)
