Just Got Back From Urology With My News!

I just got home from my urology appointment. I don't have any ulcers which is good. I have I.C. :( I feel like I'm dying right now I'm in so much pain and bleeding from the procedure at the doctor's. They prescribed me something for the pain and it turns my urine orange lol it's called Usept. They also gave me prescriptions for Elmiron and Elavil and told me Quercetin (I think that's how you spell) it is a good over the counter one. The urologist also told me to make an appointment for physical therapy.

I'm so sorry you have IC. Just remember there are lots of treatments / meds available now and, now that you are diagnosed, you can begin working on finding what is right for you. I hope you heal quickly from the procedure and will soon be feeling much better. Many of us found the period before DX was the worst part. Once we had that DX and began treatment, things really did start improving. You are past that really hard pre-DX period now and are on the road to recovery. Hope you quickly find the meds and/or treatments that work for you! :grouphug:

Well, I am glad you have an official dx, but sorry you have IC. But it also sounds like you have a great doc who is getting you started on all the right meds! Hopefully you will be recovering quickly from your procedure and be on the road to feeling better!!!!
