I was at my doctor's office yesterday. I had only seen him once before and I really like him. Hes a woman's health specialist in Gibson City, IL.

I went in yesterday to get a shot in my hip. Seems my pain worked itself into a knot in a muscle in my hip. (orginally thought the pain was endo. I was so glad to hear it was this instead!) He gave me a shot with a numbing agent and a steroid. Gonna give it a day or two to make sure it really worked.

When that was done he was asking about my IC. I told him that as of right now, I have a very mild case. My biggest complaint is lack of sleep. I told him that it's rare that I get a full nights sleep. I tried the elvail and didnt like it. Now Im on melatonin and benadryl. It works sometimes. I still wake up, but my sleep is deeper. I also mentioned that I was a bed wetter till my early teens.

He told me that he wants me tested for sleep apnea. He said that studies are showing a corrolation between bed wetting and sleep apnea. I thought it was interesting.

Im still paying off some doc bills from the endo testing that I had done, and xmas is right around the corner. I said I would probably wait till the first of the year to go in for the sleep study. I told him that he would have to see if I can do it during the day becuase I work at night.:bonk:

Does anyone out there that was a bedwetter have sleep apnea?

well, i've never been dianosed but i do have sleep apnea. I also wet the bed until my late teens. mom and husband both say that i usually don't move much if at all during the night and sometimes worry that i've stopped breathing. i had Mono in high school and my mom said she routinely checked my breathing with a mirror. i think it is getting worse because this last year i find myself waking up in the middle of the night and not being able to go back to sleep. my husband also says he can tell when i'm in pain in my sleep. i'm more restless and apparently will hit him sometimes if he gets too close to where the pain is coming from. i now sleep on my stomach a lot to protect my abdomen. the constant pressure feels better than a cat unexpectedly jumping on me or my husband's twitchy legs hitting me. the first year or so after the IC diagnosis i seriously considered twin beds. now that i've got the pain under control better i'm glad i didn't do that. it might have killed my marriage.
