I have one every year and have never been bothered by them. I hope to get one on Monday at my regular doc appointment. :) :) :)

thank you sharon. I will get one then. I don't want the flu this season. Funny though I don't suffer from allergies.

flu shots in general tend to make me sick for a couple of days, which flares up the IC.........this doesn't seem to be the case with most people though. Good luck, hope it goes well :-)

One year I flared around the time I got my shot, but for the past three years I have not had a problem, so I think the first time was a coincidence. So, here's yet another vote for "no flare" :)

I just had my done on Saturday and it made my feel body feel acky all day. My friend stated to me that I should take aleve before I got the shot. In the previous years if I dont take it I get a least 5 colds and it makes my IC really bad so for me its so worth it.

I personally have never had a flu shot. I am technically not allergic to eggs (which they make the shots from), but I cannot tolerate eating them. They make me vomit within 30 minutes of eating them. I have been told that the reaction I have to eggs will be 10 times worse with a flu shot. I hope that someday they will make one that I can take, but I don't normally get the flu. I become rather OCD about washing my hands and things during the flu season. I just worry that something like the bird flu will hit and everyone else will be able to take the shots except me. I've only met one other person that has this problem and they still didn't have it as bad. I can eat cakes and things with eggs in them, but not a omlette or something like that. Also chicken tenders with too much egg in the batter makes me sick as well. It can be a fine line to tread. Good luck with your flu shot and I hope it doesn't cause a flare.

Add me to the list of those who have no problems with the flu shot. I get one every year. In fact, I just got one yesterday and am just fine.
