I apologize in advance for not doing a search on this topic.
But it seems to me, that this past flare began at the beginning of August for me, turned into a UTI, and is now settled into a "permanent" flare.
What are your experiences?
Is this some autoimmune process of something? I was okay for years.
Thanks.

I have heard that a UTI with an IC bladder can wreak havoc for some time afterwards. Our bladders don't bounce back from the infection as well and easily as "normal" bladders, so yours could still be suffering from the effects the UTI had on it...
I would go back into safe mode, watching what I ate etc. Have you been rechecked for a UTI? Maybe it never quite cleared up???
Either way, I hope you feel better soon!!!!!!

I haven't had one pain free day since the last week of August. Flare, UTI, and now flare I think? I lost my job (could not function because of my flare, but i tried!!, had to drop out of school and just found out that because I am not a full time student I lost my insurance and I was supposed to have a CMG...not going to pay out of pocket for that!
Good thing I just got my rx's refilled. I hate insurance companies. I'm moving to Canada....
Sorry to go off topic, but that's a good question. This since August BS is WAAAAAAAY too much for ANYONE! I hate having to pump myself with narcotics to feel better for almost 2 whole months now!

Cystometrogram (CMG)
A cystometrogram allows us to assess how your bladder and sphincter behave while you store urine and when you pass urine. This test is done for people with urinary incontinence, people who have difficulty with urination, and in people with neurologic diseases that can affect bladder function. This test will measure your bladder capacity and pressure. By doing this we can identify problems such as a small capacity bladder, overactive bladder or high pressure bladder.
