Does anyone experience constant lower back pain...sometimes traveling to the buttock and legs?

Yes, I do. Some of mine is from IC but most comes from my pelvic floor dysfunction. Have you been checked for this?

I experience this as well. I don't know what it is from. I am going to have it checked out because I have not been officially diagnosed with IC. I am having a cysto with biopsy on 10/19/06.

Yes ma'am. I do... it is one of my most common symptoms! Very annoying and painful.

Generally, it's thought to be referred pain from the bladder... all of your pelvic nerves are quite a jumble, and sometimes the spinal cord gets confused when processing the pain signals -- hence, you end up with a sore back rather than a sore front. It is very common in IC -- you'll see a lot of us posting in response to this :)

I have lower back pain almost every day. I go to a pain management center tomorrow. I hope that they can help!

Yes, I had that all the time, when I do get small flares in between hydro's, I always know when it's coming because I will get low back pain. It stinks cause it does hurt. I get in the butt and leg too.

I have had low back pain and bladder pain since Labor Day weekend. I ended up having to go on short term disability at work. I can't stand or sit for very long or the pain is unbearable. I had an MRI today to see if something else is going on, I really hope not. I've been pretty much laying in bed with a heating pad and taking Vicodin ES for a month and a half now. Thursday is my 6th and last DMSO treatment, they haven't helped, just caused more pain if you ask me. Hopefully the MRI will show why I am in so much pain all the time.
