HI! Just wanted to update those of you who were kind enough to answer me before when I posted about my diagnosis.
My Hydrodistention under general anesthesia was on Friday and today was my first day with the kids without help. WOW!:help: Thankfully my 6 year old is back in school, but my 2 year old is getting sick of Mommy always on the couch!
While I was feeling great on Sunday, I kind of blew it and tried to do too much (at least that's what the nurse told me) Really all I did was sweep the floor, dry dishes and pick up some toys off of the floor, but I was flat on my back yesterday and still REALLY hurting today, even though I am taking 500 mg of Viacadin every 4-6 hours. Thankfully I don't have to leave my house untill Friday when I go back to work, and that won't be so bad because I only work 4 hours in the evening. I just have to remember not to pick any children up!( i work with special needs kids) Something I have been forgeting about with my 2 year old daughter then remembering after it's too late and I start urinating blood again!

How did those of you who have had this done keep yourself from going crazy :loco: while the dirty dishes and laundry pile up? I can't stand it, but the Doctor's office keeps telling me no lifting, bending, and repeated trips up the stairs, so I am pretty much doing nothing constructive still, four days later! Though my little one and I have had lots of stories and cuddle time, so she isn't mad at me any more for leaving her with grandma all weekend!

I am thankful, even though I don't feel great, that I don't feel as horrible as I anticipated. I guess I thought it would feel like I had just had a baby or something, or even worse, maybe like labor did that last hour before my kids were born! All I can really compare pain to in having kids, so I was really scared!

Even with my factor 5 blood clotting disorder we had no problems, though the Doctor made me wear compression stockings and compression boots during and after surgery for a few hours. He anticipated problems with clotting during the procedure, but everything went great and I didn't have to spend the night at the hospital or even learn how to self catheterize. :woohoo:

Thanks for reading all this. I won't know if I am getting relief for a few more weeks, but I still feel like it was worth it. Even if I don't get a lot of relief, I feel like I tried something and then we can go on to the next thing if needed.
Thanks again for any replies!
