instillations while prego?

I have read you can do heperain instillations?

Anyone here do them while prego? I am in a flare hell.... waaaa!!!!

I am trying to get pregnent and I am in a flare so I asked my reproductive enodronologist if I could took elmiron instills. He saidf this was fine and I could continue one I got pregant because elmiron is a class B drug. I dont know about heparin though.

My uro and Drs told me no on elmiron orally (actually you should consider not using it if you don't know for sure if your IC is bacteria related, elmiron lets bacteria hide in your bladder walls undectected by cultures....fyi) but I was told I could do elmiron instills (which I won't since I have strep D) But I also was given the OK for heparin, lidocain and sodium bi carb instillations.

My bladder flare was indeed a bladder infection that turned into an kidney infection. I just finished 2 weeks of IV abx for this nasty bug that took 3 weeks to show up in my culture. Scary! I will never use quest again! Only UML for now on!

Now I have the yeast in my urin crap to deal with while prego adn you CAN'T do oral RX anti fungals while prego so I am doing the natural route.... lets hope it works!

My high risk OB aqllowed me to begin Elmiron after my first trimester, saying it was a Class B drug. I even started on 20mg of Hydroxzyine , whcich is a class C drug. A definate no on the Elavil though. My daughter is a happy, healthy 1 year old!
