I have IC and PFD. Right now I usually pee about 13 times a day and do not have pain. I know this is nothing compared to what most of you deal with.
My symptoms are somewhat erratic......I might have to pee every 30 minutes all morning, then only once or twice the rest of the day. Or I could be going every 30 minutes all day long. I am very food sensitive, so sometimes after a meal is a problem. And riding in a car can be awful.
When I am with people who I don't know real well, I get embarrassed about the frequency thing. I don't mind telling them what's wrong. That would really be easier than having the "raised eyebrow" look when I drink something. Especially if I then have to go in a car with someone.
But since my symptoms are much milder than many people, I don't really know what to say......I would like to educate people and have them know what an awful disease this can be. But at the same time I don't want to imply that I am in a lot of pain. I'd like it to be "matter of fact", not give a "lecture".
Any suggestions?
