Just when thought I was going into remission my IC symptoms have gone into overdrive. My bladder feels like it is full of hot acid and my frequency is back to 15-20 minute range over the last 24 hours.:cussing: I can't think of anything that I have ate or drank to trigger this. The last 7 weeks or so I have been almost flare free. I guess with this disease you never know. I think Algonot has really been helping me. This flare seems to have come out of nowhere. I probably should go see my uro on Monday to see if I have an infection. I hate being sick on the weekends. It looks like I will be spending lots of time on the toilet and I may have to cancel my dinner plans for tonight if things don't improve. IC SUCKS!

aaw, hope you get better soon. Keep thinking well I had 7 weeks flare free, when this is over hopefully back to being flare free again.

I know how you feel, was doing really well this summer after a year of treatment and then wham, for 2 months been in a flare of flares like never before.

But hopefully algonot is working for you so your flareups are less severe, and then go away!!

Feeling sick on the weekend does stink, doesn't it? :( I hate that b/c the hours until Monday morning seem to stretch on forever. I've gone to an urgent care over the weekend before when I thought I had a UTI - just a thought.

I hope you feel better soon. :kissing:

Embarrassment is being 55 years old and being asked when your baby is due:cussing: . Yes, my belly's abulging - yes I'm in an almighty flare. I used to be one of the success stories here. Just lately, I'm not so sure.

Last year August I had an interstim implanted. Hugely successful. I bought myself 11 pain free months. After that everything appeared to be going downhill. Back to the doctor. He ordered an X-ray of my pelvic region and found that my electric leads had moved out of position. No big deal, I think. Wrong:tsk: I went in for surgery, supposedly 2 hours to replace said leads. I came out 4 hours later with a whole new unit. Since then I've been in pain. Not just from the surgery, but now from a flare as well. Maybe I just got lucky with the first 11 months being pain free.

The early hours of this morning, around 2:30 a.m. found me back on this website looking at all the other poor ic sufferers. It makes me feel a kinship, and that I'm not alone. I'm trying to stay positive. This too shall pass (when??). Even tried working out today. Now I feel worse than ever. After all it was just 25 minutes on the treadmill. Maybe I should've waited, but I feel so ugly and so fat. I am amazed at all the young people out there with IC. So much life ahead of them and they're having to struggle. My prayers go out to all of you. I really shouldn't complain. I've only had this since 1998, diagnosed in 2000.

I've been through all the medications etc. Maybe one day someone will come up with something that works for all of us.

My thoughts and prayers are with each and every one of you:cat:
