I wanted to first say "THANK YOU" for being here. I was at my breaking point! The doctors kept telling me nothing was wrong, prescribing me yet another antibiotic and shoving me out the door. I thought I was going crazy(literally)...until I decided to do my own research & discovered this site! To make a long story short...after another trip to the doctor and more tests I was finally given the diagnosis...IC...You helped me before my diagnosis and now are helping me more than ever!!! Thank You, Thank You, Thank you...

:welcome: :grouphug: I think that most of us know what you have been threw it took 5 years to find my IC. The best thing you can do is learn all you can about IC. I live in a small town where the doctors knew nothing about IC so I pushed them to learn gave them info from the ICN. You are your best advocate. This site has been my life line many times.

Like mentioned, the majority of us know exactly how youre feeling. I suffered for over 3 years and went through a GYN and 5 URO's before finding a URO who would listen to my symptoms and attempt to help me. Unfortunately this seems to be the norm with IC---quite frustrating to say the least!
You've found the right place for support!
Take care, dear

:hi: and:welcome: Glad you found us. You've come to the right place. Sorry you have this, but you will find a lot of good information on the boards.
It took most of us quite a few years and doctors before we got our diag. As for myself, It was 4 doctors and 5 years. Probably longer than that, but this was when I was constantly hurting and going to the bathroom and doctors kept telling me I have UTI's and that nothing else was wrong with me.

HI! Just want to add my welcome to the others! I think we all know exactly what you mean when you describe the desparation and isolation before coming here. The ICN is definately the lifeline for myself and so many others. Talking to the gang here has helped me thru many horrific days and desparate nights. I also credit the ICN with saving my marriage, as now I have you guys as an outlet and dont have to bore my husband with the IC talk day after day. I am glad you found us too! Welcome aboard!! Hugs, Amy
