Well today I went to the gym. I've been reading all the different threads on here and in books and decided I'd try a recumbent bike.

So far I am happy to say that after 13 minutes :woohoo: (I stopped because I started feeling a few twinges in my abdomen) that other than my legs being tired and my back aching a bit I feel good!

I will have to see what tomorrow brings because I've heard that sometimes flares start the next day. So keep your fingers crossed! I've got to start exercising and get my weight down. I've had a lot of stress in my life over the past 3 years with my mother in law living with me then my son and his girlfriend moving in because they both lost their jobs. 3 years later the kids are still with me. I love them dearly but my husband and I need our house back. My weight keeps creeping up and with all the activity in the house I haven't been exercising.

I so want this to work! I want to feel good again!

Anyway, I'm excited to have gone. My husband says if I can tolerate the recumbent bike he'll buy us one. I have a cardio glide (not sure if anyone remembers them) and can use that a little, but tire too easily.

Want to try yoga but one thing at a time!

Hi Sassy,
I find that the elliptical trainer at the gym works well if I keep the resistance low & the rowing machine is good for me too. Maybe that will give you a few options. And you are smart to try one machine at a time, so that if you do flare, you'll know the "culprit"!

Exercise helps my IC and my mood. Hope it works out well for you too!

Hoping you are still feeling alright after the workout. I also use the elliptical machine, but can also use the stair climber for 10 min. at a time. :)
