Last night I tried to go for a walk with husband and three year old son, but I just couldn't go too far, the pain was too bad. We went home and his Dad gave him a bath then he came in to cuddle up with me while I watched "The Biggest Loser" (I love that show, not motivational for some, but very motivational for me!). He still seemed concerned about my being in pain, and asked if my bladder was hurting (he maintains that he doesn't have a bladder, because his never hurts!). Then he thought for a few minutes and said "Mommy, you need a new bladder. I'm going to get you a new bladder for Christmas!" What a sweetie.

Just a few minutes ago, the mailman came to drop off some packages. As he was handing them to me, the mailman said "It's just like Christmas". Luke's eyes lit up and he said "Christmas! Mommy, is that your new bladder?". The mailman gave me kind of a funny look but I just laughed. I'm lucky to have such a sweet and funny little boy!

Aww, what a sweet little boy. I have a son named Luke too, though my son is all grown up now:) Sounds like something my Luke would have said. I got my new bladder over 20 years ago. Judith

How sweet children can be. I was going for the Potassium Sensativity test last on 9/21 and when I dropped my 4 (soon to be 5) year old son off at preschool I told him I had a Dr's appointment that day. He asked if it was going to hurt and I told him probably. He started to walk off towards the playground and then turned at the last minute and said "Mommy if it hurts call me!" I burst into tears and ran to the car!!!!

I think we forget how sensitive that these little people are to what we're going through. Last night he was drinking lemonade and I said how much I missed it and he said "Well, when you get your new bladder, you can drink lemonade again!". Too smart!

Judith, that is too funny that you have a Luke -- my name is Judith, too! (though I go by Judi) And we both have bad bladders (well, you did and I do, anyway!).

How precious, children can really bring your spirit up. They are so honest.

I hope the test went well and you didn't need to call your son:), though I'm sure he totally meant it when he said you should!
