Recomendations for Urologist to perform Bladder Aug and ACE

My son is 20 with L2 S5 Spina Bifida. Dr. at Hershey recommends Bladder Augmentation and Ace Procedure. I do not care for the Doc at Hershey! rude and Obnoxious. I need a Top notch Urologist who can do this procedure. We live in Bethlehem, PA. I heard Hopkins would be good? any help would be appreciated.:help: :help: :help:

There are some great uros in the Boston area- I had my surgery done at Lahey Clinic in Burlington Ma. The Cleveland Clinic is also a good place to go. If you look on this website you may some uros in your area that do the surgery. Years ago when iwas told I needed to ahve my bladder out I saw Drt. Hanno for a second opinion. He is in Philly. Hopkins does a reputation, but I am not familiar with anyone who had the surgery done there, but certainly check it out!

I dont blame you I would want the VERY BEST FOR MY CHILD. I have a friend her daughter had Bladder Aug. done about 5yr ago and she said it was the best thing she ever did, she had it done at Loma Linda Medical Center in California. Good Luck with who ever you choose, be patience as well cuz my girlfriend said the after care was exausting.
