Quecertin is a BIOflavanoid. SOY is an ISOflavanoid. I don't "do" SOY because of its hormone effecting qualities...
...anyone experience any hormone fluxuations on Quercitin? It is a flavanoid...but not an isoflavanoid.
Trying to find the answer here...and other places.
THIS IS SO over my head
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve&db=PubMed&dopt=Abstract&list_uids=9751507
but its the best I can find. I think it says that Yes, Quercetin does bind to estrogen receptors in the body - but with a weak affinity.
What does that mean? Anyone? I'd really like to know because soy really messes with my hormones....
