4 Day Test with Pain Medication

I went to my pain managment appointment today regarding phantom pain. The doctor feels that my Keppra and Lyrica may have stopped working because my brain got used to it. What they do in this case is switch to a new anticonvulsant. She is doing a 4 day Keppra Test where she is raising my Keppra over the limit if what I am supposed to take. She wants to know how I am doing in 4 days. If I am doing any better than we know what happened. If I am doing no better than that tells her something else. By Thursday we will know what we are doing. If I have to switch anticonvulsants they are thinking of Dilantin. I wish I could just stay on the Lyrica and Keppra and that they would start to work again. We are going to play trial and error with this. I just pray for some pain relief while we try.

The Doc is listening to me and understanding me
I've gained all of the weight back that I lost
Trying to put one foot in front of the other.
I am hoping for some pain free days ahead
