So far I have really enjoyed her books. I have never been into romance books but her's seem more like mysteries with a little intimacy worked in.

Just finished book one in the Key Triology and starting the second today. These are pretty good if anyone is interested. They were written a few years ago so you can find them easily at used bookstores.
The first book was a bit "steamy"
I will let you know how this one is when I finish it!!!
Hey, someone should start a book club around here!!!

Fiction is all I read. It has to be fiction with a happy ending!! You can pick-up books really cheap at second hand stores like Goodwill-Deseret Ind. I pay about .50-.75 a book. I've read quite a few Nora Roberts books. I can usually find all the books that are recently released too. Trilogy's you need to be patient because sometimes I find them out of order and have to keep looking for the first one.
About reading--my daughter (who is 11) just read her first real "I can't put this book down book". I'm so happy. I'm a huge reader and neither of my children have been really interested in reading unless they have to. I hope this keeps her going.

Wow, that's great Angie! My daughter is just starting to read children's novels. I am excited too! It is such a breath of fresh air to see them reading than glued to the gameboy!

I would love to get my son off the computer/X-box and read. He's 14--thinks he's a man and incharge of his own life. Teenagers!!
Wendi--if your daughter is around 1st thru 3rd grade my daughter liked Junie B. Jones books. In fact we were cleaning out her room last week, I put them in the pile to go, and she wanted to keep them.

I posted earlier, that I read N.R. and a few others, but if you like serials, you might want to read Debbie Macomber -- she has books on her Cedar Cove series, right now, my sister and I are reading #6 Rainier Drive, it just came out. Its something easy to read, when you don't want to cloud your mind with something big.
If someone ever came over to our houses, you would find a variety of books from mysteries, romances, to who knows what! seems we are always buying books, even though we both have books at home that we haven't read yet, but if we see something we buy it, we'll either go to goodwill where it might be a couple of dollars or to the 1/2 price bookstore where we get almost new books sometimes we will just pick up books at wal-mart.

If you want to get your daughters (teens) reading some really good series, there are several by Janette Oake -- they are Christian books, so the theme and subject matter is really appropriate but they are about the move west -- one is the Canadian West Series which I just loved -- then there is a Love Comes Softly series -- for young children there is another set that you read to them, or if they are early readers, they can read on their own. My daughters all got their start reading in these books -- they definately are a 'can't put em down' series, because I am not a fiction reader normally, but I read these non-stop! Wonderful for women of all ages -- not just young or old.
I will have to check out the Nora Roberts books -- they sound good from all you guys have said about them... A little romance sounds great!
Happy Reading!

Hi Sondra-
I am reading that one right now.
This is REALLY different than her usual work, huh? Still can't decide if I like it or not but almost halfway through and going to stick it out.
How is book 2?

I have the first book of the of the triology, and saw the second in the store. My sister is reading it, said she really didn't like it as it is a lot different. I guess I will have to decide when i start to read it myself.

Yeah, the new NR books in the Circle Trilogy are quite different but so well written! The first one was excellent and the second one (I'm halfway through) is even better! :woohoo:
I'm normally a "lost in the oldies, Scottish highlands books, lords and ladies, etc. thick historical romance" type of girl but have found several series of books on vampire romance that are different to read! :)
Another one is Christine Feehan's Dark Series, about 12 books so far in the set about Carpathians, in the mountains.
