I am quite a bit south of there but my husband travels frequently to Bakersfield for business. He always wants me to go with him <he usually drives> but it's a long drive for me and my IC and would involve lots of downtime and waiting for me. If I was meeting an IC'er that might swing me over though! Drop me a PM and let's chat. Sounds like you are in a small town. That would be harder with IC. How far do you have to go for healthcare and alternative ideas? Sounds like you've tried a lot of things.
