We just moved to FL and bought a house with a pool so I could do water aerobics. I've only lately been able to use the pool much, but since a recent flare I've been fighting the last couple of months, I'm afraid to use the pool in case the chemicals would cause a problem. We have a service take care of the pool - I know zero about pools. My urogyne says he's never heard of this being a problem but I'm still skeptical, especially since most of my discomfort is urethral. Any thoughts or experience with this?

I don't do well with clorine, but we have a pool and use Baquacil --- I don't have any problem at all with that.

While I personally don't have any problems with chlorine pools (assuming the chemistry is in good standing), we have our pool and spa now maintained by a salt water generator. So, no chemicals and it was a fairly easy switch over.

It is very kind to the skin, the kids love it on the eyes and there is just never any chance of it getting out of whack and becoming too harsh.

Love it. Pools are usually fine, but make sure the pool company maintains good chemistry with not only the chlorine, but the Ph levels. Very simple to learn to check yourself and corrections are quite simple too. Usually a good batch of baking soda will fix a Ph problem, and chlorine is easily remedied, especially if it is done after swimming hours.

Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have vestibulitis. so the pool was a problem for me. My doctor recommended that I use Desitin when swimming. I can now swim pain-free!!

I do water aerobics every day and don't have problems. I urinate after class and come straight home to take a shower.
