I moved here from NYC and really need a good one - esp. for some diagnosis. I don't think I have IC proper, but some similar bladder problem.
Thanks lot!

Emily,
I live in Napa & see Dr. Woolley at St. Helena hospital. I've been seeing him for the last 1 1/2 years & have been very pleased with the care he provides.
Good luck, connie

Thanks for your recommendation.
Can you tell me about what sort of treatments he gives - a broad range? Is he open to combining it with acupuncture, etc? And do you know how much appointments are? (I have a Blue Cross PPO plan)
Thanks a lot
Emily

Emily,
I also have a PPO & have a $10 co-pay. I don't know what other treatments he uses besides Elmiron. I was diagnosed 4/1/02 by having a cystoscopy done at St. Helena hospital. He was very gentle & told me what to expect. I was lucky enough to have the hunner's ulcers on my bladder so it was easy to diagnose. I take 200mg. 2x day. The staff at St. Helena hosp. was also very caring. If I can answer any more questions for you, feel free to contact me @pumpkinnv@aol.com.
good luck! connie hi

I saw Dr. Christopher Payne at Stanford. I liked him a lot. He specializes in IC and female urology.
