A weird dream

I have been having this really strange recurring dream lately and I know it is only a matter of time before I wet the bed. I think this started when I started taking 50mg of Attarax at night and it really knocks me out hard. Well, I dream I have to go pee, really bad, and I will ride around or search for a BR, only to be kicked out for some reason or other. I mean, THE DREAM IS SO REAL, with the feeling of urgency and pain. I have had one where I was on the toilet and then some one came along and pushed me off and then I was in my car in search of the next BR that was out of order, etc. Then I will wake up and have to really go sooooo bad that it hurts to even try to pee.

I just wanted to share my little pee pee nightmare! I think if I could pee in my dream, I would pee in my bed for real.

Another problem I have started to have, not had before is a lot of leaking right after urinating. I go to wipe and pee on my hand or I stand up to pull up pants, and it just gushes out. Does anyone else have that?

Hi Kimchi you are not alone...I have that dream all the time too! very sinilar, looking for a bathroom, not finding one, no door on it, etc. its awful. strange thing is that I remember having these types of dreams for years before my IC even started...but I would definatley have to get up and pee as soon as I awoke from the peepee nightmare

Yes, I have those bathroom nightmares too. I'll roam around endlessly in one odd dreamscape after another in search of a toilet and every one that I find has something horribly wrong with it-it's out in public, there are bugs all over the floor and walls, it has, um, overflowed its contents everywhere, its actually a closet-really pleasant things like that. I think it's my brains way of saying "don't you think you've been holding it long enough? Wake up and go find a decent toilet!" When I started taking Elmiron my dreams became really vivid, it was like I was watching some bizarre movie every night in my sleep. Thankfully that little side effect has subsided over time because those nighttime b-movie sessions were getting tiring!:dizzy:

I do think the meds make the dreams really vivid. Sometimes they are really good dream. I was dreaming of Sully Erna, lead singer of a band, yesterday. It was a REALLY good dream and my daughter woke me up! I was really disappointed. Anyway, the potty dream is really weird and I just know, it's only a matter of time before I wet the bed.

I dream all my teeth are crumbling out of my head!!! I wake and my jaw is so sore from clenching due to the pain. Now I'm on to the dream -- so while I'm dreaming I know it's just a dream and I need to wake-up.
