As I told you all a couple months ago, my daughter was picked for a major festival in our area. 10 days of outfits some days 2 outfits. NO JEANS. Must have matching hats. 2, 3 piece suits. A total of 14 outfits. Oh and shoes to match can't use the same shoes twice. I have spent about $3000. on clothes for this 1 week for her and that doesn't include mine, hubby, older daughter and baby. I don't care if i ever shop again after all of this. Hey but I have alot of very nice clothes and no where to go after this is all over.

Hey maybe I can become a professional shopper for someone else's credit card. :smile tee

Here is the link to the festival

Wow........are there any repeat boutiques in your area?
You won't get the full amount for the clothes back.......but any little bit would help........especially if you think you wouldn't wear them again.
I hope you guys have an awesome time at the festival!

Wow...boy I don't blame you for not wanting to shop anymore...congratulations on your daughter's achievement, though - the festival sounds really cool!

I agree, a consignment shop for the outfits you may not wish to keep (maybe some of them you will want?) would be a way of recouping some of the money.

Well, this is a special thing, not like it happens every day...I feel the same way about when women buy wedding dresses and honeymoon clothes, it's for a very special event, so why not spend a little? :)

Me, well...I got some Fall clothes at the local thrift store down the road. LOL. Well, darn it, I like the clothes I get there and the price is right. For about $40 I got two pair of jeans I like that fit well, two pair of courdoroy (sp?) pants (brown, black) and one pair of tan pants that will work well at least through the end of October, as well as a couple of casual tops and 5 sweaters. Pretty good for only $40. I will probably go to a regular store to get a few more things - maybe a dress or skirt with a jacket, maybe a couple of dressy blouses, that sort of thing. But I try to keep my clothing budget on the low side. I'm 45, I figure, I don't need to try to be a fashion plate at my age, LOL. If it fits and it's in reasonably good repair, that's probably good enough for me.

I plan on visiting the thrift store maybe once a month to get another sweater or something here and there, just for fun, but most of my Fall/Winter clothes shopping is probably done now, LOL. If I'm not volunteering or going to an appointment, I'm probably just dressed in jeans or another casual pant and some casual top...

Blessings,
Lori
