Urine Leakage

Hi everyone - just an FYI - I've been having external PT for pelvic floor with extremely painful hip and back pain. I went to a urogyno yesterday that specializes in PFD. She wanted to do an internal exam to check and see how tight things were. Mind you, she was extremely gentle. Felt ok for 5-6 hours, then started to have urgency discomfort, even tho I knew I didn't have to go. All of a sudden, laughing, coughing, anything is causing me to leak urine. Just a bit, but enough to be irritating. Soaking and taking Valium trying to get things to calm down. Just sharing my experience.

This could be temporary due to muscle fatigue. Ask your PT to show you some strengthening exercises you can do at home. My uro and PT showed me some leg exercises which help me some.

Regarding your leakage, that could also be from internal muscle spasming. If this is something new for you, again it could be from muscle fatigue. I have always had leakage but it is much worse when my pain level is up or I am spasming. Find a comfortable brand of pantyliner and change them often! Unfortunately that is the best advice I have to offer :smile tee
