I thought I started this thread yesterday! :loco: I can't find it this a.m. so I'll start another.
Is anyone here a Medical Transcriptionist? I'm thinking of pursuing this because it's a job I can do at home. Any advice??
Thanks, Mare Mare

I am a transcriptionist. If you have specific questions you are more than welcome to private message me and I will try and answer them. I don't think I would be able to work the 32 hours a week that I do if I couldn't work from home doing this. Of course the sitting sucks for my IC and fibro, but if I gotta work then this is working out for me for now.

Your post yesterday (I responded) addressed whether there is specific education required before you can become a transcriptionist. My response was that yes, there is some education required. It isn't a horribly long course as I recall, but most institutions require either experience or school.
I'm not a transcriptionist, but did work for many years in a major hospital.
