stopping Vistaril

I have been on Vistaril, Elavil, and Elmiron for 5 months. Dr decided to take me off the Vistaril. I wonder if it really does anything for IC besides make you drowsy. ANy one else find it helps IC symptoms (pain)?

The theory is that it helps control inflammation in the bladder. They've found that IC bladders tend to have an overabundance of mast cells, which can lead to inflammation. Mast cells are associated with allergies - thus the reason for antihistamines.
