I know that PT can stir things up significantly. For me, severe pain in the hip and back, with bladder symptomology not changing much. Can people share their experiences with PT? Have some of you found that it made things worse and never made things better? Thanks gang!

PT has lessened my chronic pain by 90%. I had PFD for so long that at my first PT when she asked where I hurt I said from my knees to my neck. I was a mess. Slowly and deliberately she worked with muscles everywhere it seemed but my pelvic ones. As the pain diminished then we started working on the PF muscles.
I still have urinary retention and frequency, painful intercourse and vvs, but if she can help that as much as the rest of my body pain I'll be HAPPY

PT helped me ALOT! It wasn't always easy, but if you can find someone who has had a lot of experience with IC, it can such a great help. My PT was great. She would put these great heating pads on me before I would leave a session so that I would not be so sore. I would reccommend at least trying it. It might not be for everyone, but it's worth trying at least a few times.

Didn't help, didn't hurt, but I don't have PFD.

I've had five external treatments over the course of the last five weeks and have been suffering immensely. Back and hip pain have sent me through the roof, oftentimes making it hard to walk or sit. I understand things are very interconnected and if may take making it worse to get better, but it's been hard to keep going. I KNOW it's PFD, so onward and upward.
