flaring from Allegra

I am having flare up from Allegra 30 which is a childs dosage. Have any of you tried a decongestant? Did you have a problem? Decongestants are supposed to dilate the blood vessels so I'm thinking that will make IC worse.
Decongestant always trigger a migraine for me so I figure it will cause more frequency. What has been your experience with decongestants? Thanks.

I find that Allegra 180 (prescription medication) actually helps my IC. It has never caused me to flare.

I originally chose Allegra for my allergies because it was less likely to cause
seizures & flare ups but it hasn't worked for me. Hopefully I will be able to find something that helps both IC & allergies. Thanks for reply.

Have you tried Atarax? Ask your doctor about that!

I've also heard of IC patients having success with Singulair.

Anti-histamines, like atarax, are helpful for IC, but I have been told by Drs. that decongestants will likely cause flares.

If you flare from Allegra it MIGHT be the red coating on the pill. GENTLY wash off the red color from the pill...then take immediately with water. This worked for me - no flare ---
Honest. Everyone is different but it's worth a try.
