I am waiting for the new Dr to get my surgery scheduled to totally remove my bladder and correct all the damage done by the other surgery done by a stupid dr thought by just stretching the bladder would make everything ok. WRONG!!!! Well this wkend I landed my butt in the Er and they said the infection in my bladder has spread to my kidneys and that if something is not done soon then my kidneys are going to start failing thats how bad the infection is soooo here goes more meds and another worry. I feel like pooh and wondering if i will ever catch a break.:cussing: just another frustrating wkend all was going good and then wham the infection got me good. going in tomorrow and they want to put in a super pubic tube to drain away the infection and possiablly a chemport because the meds are making me sick. I just wish I could post happy days well maybe soon. Thx for letting me vent!

Countrygrl,
I pray for better days ahead for you! I hope the suprapubic catheter (SPT) helps dwindle that infection away. We are all here for you. You'll be moving over to the Bladder Removal Board not too far off, I hope! Bladder Removal is tough, but so are you and I believe you will get through this in time.
Wishing for better months to come.

Hollie, I know the surgery is not something one looks forward to in a good way. I do think that once they get the port in you it will make things easier and even tho the surgery will mean a long hospital stay once you have recovered you will be very glad it was finally done. Your life will change in positive ways and you will be able to do things with your children again. I am here to answer any questions. hugs, Judith

I had a Monarch sling put in 2 years ago. It let loose and part of it is lodged in my bladder, causing infection. I work in the food industry. I cannot find any research on the condition i now face. I am scheduled for a cystocopy
on Tuesday the 5th of September. They said there is a hole in my bladder, maybe more. They aren't sure if it went through or not. I've been told they've
never seen anything like it. Does anyone have any information they can give me? I'm probably going to lose my bladder, by the sound of things. But I won't know until Tuesday.

I do not know anything about bladder slings, I am sorry IO wish I could be more helpful about it. I would think though if you looked at site that focused on uro/gynecology you may find some info about that. At any rate, if it does come down to losing your bladder I will here to answer your questions and help you through the process. Sending positive thoughts your way, Judith
