Well it has been a week since I started using the 10mg vaginal valium suppositories and here is what is going on:

I had really good success after the first day. My dosage is at bedtime as you have to lie down for 1 hr after insertion. The next morning I woke up with little to no pain! This lasted about 2 hrs but it was a significant improvement!!! :smile tee

After the next few days, I noticed that my morning pain was back about the time I got out of bed, which really depressed me alot after waking before without pain. But- I have had NO NIGHTIME PAIN, and am sleeping alot better! However, trying to get up in the morning is alot more difficult. It takes me twice as long to feel "awake" as I did before but after being up for about 45 minutes, I am no longer sleepy and feel alert.

I faxed my doctor's office this morning to give them an update as well as send them the information that Jill provided us regarding dosages. I really believe that I would benefit from additional doses per day but that isn't possible while working full time. The compounding pharmacist mentioned to me that the valium can be made into a cream or gel which could be used during the day when lying down isn't possible.

I am keeping up the hope!
Love, hugs and blessings to everyone!

Wendi:
Were you able to get any information on the vaginal valium cream or gel that coudl be used during the day in conjuction with the vag valium at night.
I am curious how the creams and gels would be applied. I have tried the suppositories during the day and they seem to sort of "leak out" so i don't know if i am actually getting the full drug benefit.
Let me know if you have any other info on them
Thanking you so mudh

Wendi, I am so glad to hear that these are working for you! I really think that you are going to be feeling a lot better soon, now that you have these in your arsenal, along with the Fentalyn patches and the Lortabs from your pain dr.

I am not sure, but I am thinking that the Valium suppositories have sort of a cummulative effect, where the longer and more often you take them, the more effective they are at relieving the pain. (Not entirely sure on this, but I think I have read that somewhere.) At any rate, you are definately going to see some big improvements over the next month or so, once your pain meds get all te way into your system.

I am so happy for you!!!! Thanks for keeping us updated on what is working . Hugs, Amy
