I may have spelled this name wrong, I can't find the original post, but his transcript was wonderful. I have a question, he mentioned the one lady that found out she didn't have IC but a bowel problem instead. What was he talking about? What bowel condition could cause IC symptoms when he was talking about determining the specific cause of the IC pain i.e. pelvic floor, bladder lining, bladder nerves, etc. because I really didn't fit into any of the categories so if I'm looking in the wrong direction, I need to know what avenue to pursue next.

Maybe a really severe case of IBS could mimic IC? The nerves are often shared, aren't they? I was thinking that when they did the Bion on me, with the pudendal nerve, one of the possible risks of surgery in that area was bowel incontinence, even though the surgery was actually for a nerve for the bladder. It's just that the same nerve apparently goes to both areas...? I mean that was how I understood it anyways...I know you know alot more about anatomy than I do, so please forgive me if I'm wrong on that...
I just hope so much you get better soon. I feel so bad for how you've suffered so long with this. I really admire that you never give up, and you're willing to try anything that could help.
Blessings,
Lori
P.S. My doc didn't tell me not to take ibuprofen, so I went ahead and tried it - I figured with the weekly and then monthly blood tests, we'd see right away if my kidneys took a hit - so far so good, no deterioration. But I only use ibuprofen for about five days a month, for my period, so...it might be different if I were using it every day. I'm sure I probably shouldn't be using ibuprofen with CyA, but I hate having cramps and it's the only thing that really works for me on cramps. :(
I'm doing really well on the CyA so far - almost in remission (I just can't drink 7-up yet is all, but Coca Cola is fine.) The side effects were absolutely awful for about six weeks, though. Some people don't have bad side effects that long, though.
