I first want to congratulate you on your pregnancy :woohoo:
Next, I want to say 'welcome' to IC message board -- there are so many wonderful people here and the combined experiences will surely give you answers to any question you have.
I did go through my last pregnancy while an IC patient -- however -- I don't know that I can tell you much about my experience -- I didn't know what IC really meant -- I had been given the diagnosis, but not much help -- I can however, tell you that I don't remember ever being pain free -- I thought it was my back, my legs, or something -- never even suspected my bladder could make me that miserable.
On the brighter side - I have never reflected back on a better time in my life than during my pregnancies -- four of them -- three went to full term. I felt better than ever when I was pregnant -- so I am hoping that you will have that same kind of memory with yours...
I am sure others will sound in here and give there experiences and any advise they may have to avoid problems -- I would certainly suggest sticking to the IC Diet that works for you -- and drink lots of water!
Blessings! A new baby...

Well I drink absolutely nothing but water except for an ocasional glass of milk (usually once a day lol) But I have to say that I HAVE not followed the diet and I actually feel a lot better than I have in a long time. Maybe its just me enjoying being pregnant so much, and not noticing the pain so much, but I really do feel so much better. It could also be that I quit smoking which seems to go very bad with IC. Whatever it is Im greatful but confused as why Im have reversed reactions to the pregnancy than most other women. :bonk:
Thanks for the help

While I don't have any children, I just wanted to say :welcome:
There are lots of women here with children. I hope to have children in the next few years or so and I learn so much reading the posts you ladies write. I am glad to see this yucky disease does not keep us from being mommies!

Congratulations on your pregnancy. I too am having a great pregnancy and my symptoms are almost gone even when I'm eating normally bad things. I just try to do it in moderation. The extra harmones put some IC patients in remission. Hopefully it will stay that way!
